Gemini unveils intra-Far East feeder service network
Gemini Cooperation of Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd has announced a set of joint intra-Far East feeder services centered on Maersk’s hub of Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore.
The rotations of the announced services will be as follows:
China Philippines Feeder (CPF) – Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Singapore, Batangas (Philippines), Manila (Philippines), Subic Bay (Philippines), Guangzhou (Nansha, China), Tanjung Pelepas
Jakarta Feeder (JKF) – Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Jakarta (Indonesia), Singapore
Singapore Surabaya (SS1) – Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Singapore, Surabaya (Indonesia), Semarang (Indonesia), Surabaya, Tanjung Pelepas
Taiwan Express (TWX) – Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Singapore, Taichung (Taiwan), Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Tanjung Pelepas
At the same time, the German partner of Gemini has revealed changes to its own intra-Far East network. Hapag-Lloyd will launch the new Vietnam-Cambodia-China (VCS) service, which will sail between the countries from which it derives its name, and will take slots on the Nine Provinces Feeder of CMA CGM’s subsidiary CNC Line.
Additionally, the Hamburg-based box line will stretch the existing VIS (Vietnam Indonesia Straits) to Maersk’s hub at Tanjung Pelepas.
The new and revised itineraries will be as follows:
VCS – Shenzhen (Yantian & Shekou, China), Sihanoukville (Cambodia), Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep, Vietnam), Hai Pong (Vietnam), Shenzhen
JPX – Busan (South Korea), Shibushi (Japan), Oita (Japan), Moji (Japan), Hakata (Japan), Gwanyang (South Korea), Busan
VIS – Port Kelang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh (city), Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Belawan, Penang, Port Kelang
