CMA CGM applies congestion surcharge in Peru and Chile
French ocean carrier CMA CGM announces the implementation of a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) in Peru and Chile. Effective 1 February 2025, a surcharge of US$300 per container will apply to dry cargo originating from Callao, Peru, and San Antonio, Chile, destined for South America East Coast, Central America East Coast, the Caribbean, Leeward, Windward, Mexico East Coast, Guyana North Brazil, Oceania, and Canada. Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have been excluded from the surcharge.
Additionally, effective 22 February 2025, CMA CGM will introduce a surcharge of US$300 per dry box originating from Callao and San Antonio destined for the US East Coast, US Gulf, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and American Samoa.
