UAE-bound ship from India crosses Strait of Hormuz despite US blockade

A UAE-bound ship on Tuesday safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz after it departed from India, becoming the first vessel to pass through the key waterway after the US imposed a blockade targeting Iran-linked tankers and ports.
According to information on MarineTraffic, the vessel named Paya Lebar is on its way to Dubai after departing from an Indian port.

Sanctioned Chinese tanker crosses Hormuz

A Chinese tanker sanctioned by the United States passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday despite a US blockade on the chokepoint, shipping data showed.
The tanker and its owner, Shanghai Xuanrun Shipping Co Ltd, were sanctioned by the United States for dealing with Iran. The company could not be immediately reached for comment.
